  • PRIMARY FEATURES: Shimoda's Action X adventure outdoor camera backpacks have been to the peak of Mount Everest and to the farthest reaches of the globe. They are built to comfortably carry camera gear not just all day long, but for days at a time. Shimoda's fully modular Core Unit system ensures that creators never carry more weight or bulk than necessary and that the bag interior can be quickly adapted to camera systems from small to large. The height-adjustable harness and removable waist belt can be dialed-in to fit users from 5-feet (1.5M) tall all the way to 6'8" (2 meters) (when used with optional Booster Kit). Three Capture Clip mounting points allow a camera to be attached to the exterior of the pack; tripod/water bottle pockets on both sides of the pack can be deployed when needed; all fabrics and hardware are PFAS-free; water-repellent carbonate coating and included rain cover ensure protection in any weather. All bags come with Shimoda's 5-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
  • CAMERA/LAPTOP CAPACITY: When paired with the included Medium DSLR Core Unit, the X50 will fit up to a gripped mirrorless or DSLR camera with 4-6 lenses, up to an attached 70-200mm 2.8. The rear laptop sleeve will protect a laptop up to 16 inches (40 cm).
  • ADJUSTABLE TORSO HEIGHT: The X50 has four height options with approximately 9 cm (3.5 in) of vertical adjustment. This means the same backpack can fit short or tall — male or female — torso heights, ensuring a custom fit for everyone. Those with taller or broader torsos can add our Booster Kit for greater range in torso fit. Female users can add the optional Women's Harness Straps for a more comfortable fit.
  • CORE UNIT MODULAR CAMERA INSERT SYSTEM (Starter Kit includes Medium DSLR Core Unit): The X50 utilizes Shimoda's DSLR Core Units, which are matched to the front-to-back depth of the 35/40/50L backpacks. Core Units provide shockproof protection for Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and lenses, and ensure a user never carries more padding and weight than necessary. The X50 will fit Core Units as small as the Small DSLR Core Unit for more compact camera kits, and it will fit up to the XL50 RST Core Unit to maximize the entire interior space for camera gear and fit an attached 180-600/200-600mm lens or an attached 600mm 4.0. The X50 is also compatible with Shimoda's optional small, medium and large Top Loader camera bags for users who want an internal camera cube that can be carried separately from the backpack with a shoulder strap.
  • EXPANDABLE ROLLTOP ACCESS: Rolltop access allows the pack to be adjusted to your gear needs while still maintaining a tight and compact fit. The rolltop can expand with a volume range of 7 liters. The top section also has an additional quick-access YKK SplashGuard zipper that makes getting at your gear extremely quick and easy, especially in foul weather.

It will fit Core Units as small as the Small DSLR Core Unit for more compact camera kits, and it will fit up to the XL40 RST Core Unit to maximize the entire interior space for camera gear and fit an attached 180-600/200-600mm lens, or an attached 600mm 4.0.
