Dominique Granger warming hearts in a cold Austrian river.

Dominque Granger has been a driving force in our Woman's Development Program. She primarily shoots action sports and likes to live a fun and healthy lifestyle along the way.

It is no secret we are working on a few products to help woman photographers have a better experience while working in the field. Dom, along with over 30 other woman have been testing a couple of new shoulder strap designs specifically shaped for woman. She also has her hands on a new smaller Explore series pack to be released later in the fall. The combo of straps and smaller backpack, have made a pretty ideal set up for her.

If you are not aware, our backpack shoulder straps are removable. We designed the bags like this so we can create new straps based on unique users needs. Overtime, with your feedback and as adventure photography continues to evolve, we will grow and develop more fits for different body types and niche needs.

Here is a little development feedback from Dom...

Hi Ian

I went surfing today and took my pack for a little shoot... and for a surf :) ... of course I emptied it before going in!

My goal was to come back to the side dry, but... I fell in. Anyhow, I can now tell you that when empty, the backpack helps you float! I opened it right away to see how much water got in and seriously I was surprised how little, especially for a full immersion! I took a couple pics just so you could see.

You said you wanted thorough testing...

-Dom

Very little water penetrated the pack after full immersion in the river.

Even less up top :)

*Please do not try this product test with camera gear, this is simply Dom and us sharing some stoke. At no point ever will we claim the Explore Series backpacks to be waterproof. It is very very expensive to make waterproof backpacks that have the ability to be efficient and functional camera bags. If someone is claiming their pack (or ours) is - you should be suspicious of those claims. This includes zippers!
